Capitol Hill Stay is a veteran-owned small business. We have been in business since 1997. We were longtime Capitol Hill residents (until semi-retirement). COVID devastated the furnished housing business in DC. We did not qualify for Covid relief funds (many giant multinational corporations qualified for relief funds but small businesses did not).
This is our sole source of income. We support two extended families. We provide income for local cleaning services, repair and maintenance personnel, and a variety of local businesses. We do all we can to make certain all are paid a living wage.

Capitol Hill is the geographic center of the Washington, DC, area. It’s adjacent to the US Capitol, Supreme Court, Library of Congress, and Senate and House office buildings. Unquestionably the heart of DC – the four quadrants of the city all branch out from the US Capitol building itself.
Capitol Hill has excellent Metro subway service. Orange and blue lines Capitol South and Eastern Market Metro and red line at Union Station are a five to ten minute walk. DC Circulator stops are also easily accessible from any of our properties. Capital Bikeshare bikes are within a block from our properties. Lyft Scooters can also be found all over the neighborhood and can be rented via the Lyft App. Capitol Hill has the best interstate access of any in-town neighborhood.
Everything you need is right here. Countless restaurants that offer everything from world-class fine dining to local diners, first rate fitness facilities, and lots of eclectic shopping. Grocery, dining, and entertainment in walking distance include Eastern Market and Union Market, Whole Foods, Giant Supermarket, Harris Teeter, and The Corner Market
No Hassle, Clean, Professionally Managed. Just move in with your personal items. Everything is simple, from easy application to electronic locks. Our places are well-kept, we use professional maids and our full time property manager lives blocks away.
CHS Uses Maid to Clean, perhaps the area's best professional maid service. . We have instructed them to use CDC-approved cleaners and sanitizers, and to add additional cleaning protocols as needed.
Most CHS properties have private entrances directly from outside to the apartment. Many have private outdoor space. All CHS properties adhere to social distance cleaning and safety protocols. All CHS properties have electronic locks for easy contact-less move-in and move-out.
Bed and bath linens are removed each cleaning and taken offsite to a professional laundry center, where they are sanitized in high-temperature professional washers.
All CHS properties have private heat / air conditioning / ventilation. Air is not circulated from other properties.
